When you enjoy the finer things in life, your writing instruments should reflect your refined taste. Our favorite writing instruments are luxuries, and as such, should display a certain level of fanciness. If you’ve heard the partial expression of having “champagne taste”, then you’ll see the relevance of the new Diplomat Aero Champagne Pen Collection. Not only are we familiar with Diplomat’s continued excellence in pen design and construction, we get the fantastic tactile feedback of the grooves in the cap and barrel. The new Champagne color is very regal, and will definitely impress onlookers with your heightened level of fashion.
When you first experience the Diplomat Aero Champagne Pen Collection, it doesn’t matter whether you choose the fountain pen, rollerball, ballpoint, or mechanical pencil. Any of these four available modes of writing elevate your “pen game” to the next level. Importantly, as the Aero is designed to resemble the legendary Zeppelin, its beautiful anodized aluminum surface provides the perfect finishing touch to the complete aluminum casing.
First of all, the fountain pen is exquisite. Whether you choose the 14k gold nib or the steel nib, they write flawlessly. Choose from extra fine, fine, medium, and broad nib sizes. Not to mention the filling system of either an international cartridge or converter, you’re able to use whichever color of ink you enjoy most. Personally, I’d fill it with the Monteverde Moonstone ink to match.
Secondly, the cap on both the fountain pen and rollerball employ a gripping friction-fit cap closure system which is very satisfying to click open and close. Noteworthy is the rollerball being able to refill with Schmidt 888 or 5888 rollerball refills, which makes it almost as fun as the fountain pen.
Third is the ballpoint, which still operates using a smooth twist-action retraction mechanism. Enjoy customization with Monteverde’s Parker Style ballpoint or gel refills. Last but not least is the mechanical pencil. Its .7mm mechanism is the perfect size to keep you writing without worrying about the graphite breaking off.
