Montegrappa is back at it again. They make many fun limited edition pens with movie themes. Their newest is the Montegrappa Harry Potter Platform 9 ¾ Pen Collection. Harry Potter: Platform 9¾ returns to the origins of the Harry Potter story. The mythical platform at London’s Kings Cross Station is a location that resonates with all fans of the famous franchise.
First of all, the Montegrappa Harry Potter Platform 9 ¾ Pen Collection is based on the place where young, aspiring wizards board the train to get to Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Witchcraft. Similarly, it is also where the young Harry Potter first encounters Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger – his companions through seven bestselling books and eight blockbuster movies.
Secondly, materials and proportions are from the popular Harry Potter: House Colors collection. However, they are carried over into this new, stand-alone silhouette. Importantly, stainless steel is rendered with ion-plating, printing and enameling to adopt the livery of the Hogwarts Express. Similarly, the world’s most famous locomotive is recreated with laser-engraving on the cap, and appears beneath the Hogwarts Railways emblem. Notably, an enameled cap top sign says “Platform 9¾ – a gateway to a world of magical adventures”.
Finally, fountain pens, rollerballs and ballpoints make up the collection. With fountain pens issued with a 6mm filigree steel nib. After that the nib size is available in: extra fine, fine, medium, broad, stub 1.1, and stub 1.5. Fill your fountain pen via cartridge/converter filling system. In addition, I recommend using Monteverde’s Red Velvet bottled ink to match the pen. As for the closure, the fountain pen and rollerball are equipped with threads for ease. On the ballpoint, enjoy smooth twist-action retraction. Refill it with Monteverde Parker Style ballpoint or gel refills. Packaging uses the laminated Hogwarts paperboard case supplied with Harry Potter: House Colors, providing authenticity and gifting appeal for pop culture fans of all ages.
