We’re so excited to share the launch of the first US Exclusive Pilot – the Pilot Custom 743 Verdigris Fountain Pen! First of all, if you’re not familiar, Pilot’s Custom Series emerged from Pilot’s history of producing fountain pens that dates back more than 100 years. Since 1918, Pilot manufactures the first completely Japanese-made fountain pens. They continue to give thought to what would make writing with a fountain pen more comfortable and easier for users.
Importantly, the Pilot Custom line is available in the following models: Urushi, 845, 743, 742, 74, Heritage, 823, ENJU, Maple, and NS. The Urushi and 845 represent the pinnacle of Pilot’s black glossy lacquer finish series. In addition, Pilot considers the 743, 742, and 74 as examples of standard fountain pen models. Continuing with the Heritage is a simplistic design that transcends generations. Last are the 823, ENJU, Maple, and NS – each made with unique materials, design, and function. Therefore, to get our own US exclusive in the Pilot Custom 743 Verdigris Fountain Pen is extra special.
Can you imagine this gorgeous Pilot Custom 743 Verdigris Fountain Pen? It comes in a green resin body with gold accents. This Custom 743 is in a gorgeous green hue called Verdigris. Verdigris is a literal translation of vet de Grece (the Green of Greece) and with its inherent vivacity, this fungible hue is associated with renewal and rebirth. This product will only be available in the United States. I think that Monteverde’s Fireopal Bottled Ink would look perfect coming out of this pen.
