I’m truly excited about the new TWSBI ECO-T Rosso Fountain Pen. Like a fine red wine, it only gets better the longer it’s in your hand. With a rich red resin like this, what more can you ask for? This is truly a gorgeous pen. We have the pens in stock, and per TWSBI’s instructions, all orders start to ship this week.
First of all, the TWSBI ECO-T Rosso Fountain Pen has great value with its piston filling system and affordable price. Like many other TWSBI fountain pens, it features a crystal clear acrylic barrel so you can see your ink level, and a red cap. The pen cap has an inner cap to ensure a perfect seal when stored away. It is completed with chrome trim and a steel nib. Notably, I think the pen would look better with either rose gold trim or yellow gold trim to match.
Secondly, the ECO-T differs from the ECO in that it has a triangular grip section for ease of holding the pen, and triangular shaped cap and piston knob instead of hexagon.
Importantly, what color ink would you fill it with? I think Monteverde’s Sweet Life Cherry Danish bottled ink would be a great match. As for the nib sizes, you have choices. Choose from: extra fine, fine, medium, broad, and 1.1 Stub.
TWSBI’s belief is that it is important to allow the user to disassemble and reassemble the pen and completely experience the traditional aspects of owning and using a fountain pen. These pens also come packaged with a wrench and silicone grease. Neither of these accessories are intended to be used immediately, as they are for long-term care and maintenance. Additionally, please use extra care if you choose to disassemble the nib and feed, as the feed is very fragile.
